Subject: [TeaneckShuls] Re Problem With Optonline and Other ISPs Receiving
YahooGroups Emails
I don't know if the problem with optonline members not receiving their
yahoogroups emails is as widespread as it was earlier in the month. But in case
you are still having trouble with optonline (or other internet service
providers), I have revised slightly the list of possible fixes, including -
(i) waiting it out,
(ii) turning off your spamaway setting (on optonline go to
https://memberservices.optonline.net/acctms/index.html and then to
https://memberservices.optonline.net/ams ),
(iii) possibly switching to digest back again to normal (send blank email to
teaneckshuls-digest@yahoogroups.com or to
teaneckshuls-normal@yahoogroups.com ,
(iv) going to
http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs and making sure you are not bouncing and
sending yourself a reactivation request if necessary,
(v) setting up a yahoomail or excitemail account, or
(vi) reading msgs online - see

Subject: [TeaneckShuls] optimum online problem
Everyone told me to switch from AOL & my email problems would be over...wrong!!
I've just spent 1 hour on the phone, trying to resolve the message delivery
problems with optonline.
Their basic message is that there is a problem with yahoo's servers
communicating with optonline. When I explained that I don't seem to have any
problems receiving other yahoo group mail, they have no explanation. They cannot
give any time frame for this problem to be solved.
It is time to take this to the next step:
The phone number for the corporate headquarters is:
516 803 2300
[AOL tel. 888-265-8008]
I have left a message for the corporate consumer relations person. I would like
to urge you to do the same. I plan to continue barraging them, as well as trying
to find corporate officers within optimum to solve this problem for us.
But...I do have to get back to my day job :)
