Subject: Family resort recommendations
Now that summer is over we would like to compile a list of family resorts that people were happy with. We prefer resorts that have full kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. We also prefer shorter distances.

We can recommend both Smuggler's Notch in Vermont and Split Rock Resort in the Poconos. Smuggler's has an additional advantage of having day camp for children so the adults can participate in resort activities that are not meant for small children. Split Rock had an option for day camp which was only 2 1/2 at a time either morning or afternoon (or both, each session for a small fee).

We have also been to Golden Acres which is more of a ranch like setting. Their main advantage is having a kosher dining room. They too have a day camp. The accomodations would be rated with fewer "stars" so to speak. The recently changed ownership so we don't know if anything else changed.
