Subject: [TeaneckShuls] Israel travel and merchant listing

This past Sukkot, the streets of Jerusalem were streaming with visitors and the hotels were packed to capacity. It was extremely uplifting for local residents, but, unfortunately, after the holidays things become quiet again. Many Israelis count on the holiday/vacation trade to support them long after the tourists depart.

In an attempt to enhance local travellers' visits to Israel and give an additional boost to the Israeli economy, Teaneckshuls will be publishing, in digest form, an Israel Travel List with recommendations for tour guides, drivers, florists, caterers, places to buy interesting gifts, places to visit with kids, etc. The list will be sent to Teaneckshuls members the final week of November for "Channukah week"
travellers and again, with any relevent updates, the final week in
December, approximately one month before the January "Yeshiva Break."
The list can be used for planning purposes and printed out to take along
on your trip. (The list is Israel-wide, not just Jerusalem).

Accordingly, we are asking teaneckshuls members to send in recommendations for such tourist-related Israeli business for inclusion in the list. Please put your full name on each post, so that members know who is making the recommendation. You should also include the address and telephone number of the Israeli business and any other vital information. Posts may be edited to keep the list concise.

(If this works, we hope to publish an updated list a month or so before Pesach).

Listings can be sent to: seelias@attglobal.net
