Subj: Reminder to Use the TeaneckShuls Calendar
Date: Tue, Feb. 24 2004
From: CRShulman@a...
Just wanted to remind everyone to use the teaneckshuls calendar at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeaneckShuls/calendar?s=2
As Ruthie previously noted, submissions for the calendar should be sent directly to Allison & Elliot Adler at: mailto:calendar@teaneckshuls.org
For a sample of what the January and February calendar currently looks like, for those who haven't yet figured out how to access it, see http://www.teaneckshuls.org/temp/TSCalendarfebmar04.htm  ( http://tinyurl.com/36rxo )
For more information, see http://www.teaneckshuls.org/SelectedPosts/Calendars.htm
The links for the teanekchuls calendar and the UJA community calendar are at http://www.teaneckshuls.org
Thanks, Chaim

Subject: [TeaneckShuls] TeaneckShuls Calendar

We would like to welcome Allison & Elliot Adler to the TeaneckShuls volunteer staff. They have graciously agreed to be the coordinators for the TeaneckShuls community calendar [ at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeaneckShuls/calendar?s=2 ]

Submissions for the calendar should be sent directly to them at: calendar@teaneckshuls.org or adlers@optonline.net

At the outset we would like the submissions to be Bergen County Jewish community events only. Examples of these would be: shul activities, local concerts, shiurim, lectures, yeshiva events, etc. We reserve the right to reject any submissions which we find to be questionable. As always this is an evolving policy, subject to tweaking.

As TeaneckShuls has grown & now reaches over 3500 readers, we are seeing that our website(www.teaneckshuls.org) is becoming a destination site for Jewish information in the Bergen County area. For this reason, we have decided to work on developing the calendar at the site, so that it will be the reference point for events in the local area.

To access the calendar directly, you must have a yahoo logon, which is easy to register for at:

http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_register

Of course, please continue to also send submissions to the UJA community calendar, by calling 201 488 6800 x314 Dina.

I am sure all of you join me in wishing Allison & Elliot much success, in the development of this project for the benefit of our community.

Ruthie Levi

Just a reminder that when planning a shul, school or community event, you should put your event (and check conflicts) with the
Bergen County community calendar.
The contact information for the community calendar is
Dina Leffel
UJA-Federation of Bergen County - Community Calendar
201-488-6800 x314
DinaL@ujabergen.org
Many of the events for the current month are also entered on the UJA's web page at http://www.ujabergen.org  (click "Calendar" on left menu).

The teaneckshuls yahoogroups site also has a calendar at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeaneckShuls/calendar .... Also, note that to view the calendar, you have to be logged in (see www.teaneckshuls.org for instructions how to log in)

In any event ... to check for and avoid conflicts, you should put your event on the UJA's community calendar.

I've put the contact info for the community calendar and the yahoogroups calendar on the teaneckshuls web page at http://www.teaneckshuls.org
