The following is a partial list (in alphabetical order) of daf yomi resources available by mail or email that greatly assists many lomdim. We encourage you to take advantage of them.
-- Lunchtime Daf Yomi Shiur now Broadcasting -We are pleased to announce that the Daf Yomi shiur given by Reb Mechel Schiffenbauer at the National headquarters of Agudath Israel of America, every Monday through Friday from 12:45 – 1:30 PM can now be listened to nationwide both live or at any other time over any telephone line. The shiur is now being broadcast on the Kol Haloshon shuirim network. To access the shiur live please call 718-906-6400, press * for live shiurim at follow the prompts for Rabbi Schiffenbauer’s shiur. At other times, press 1 for English, 2 for gemora, and listen for Rabbi Schiffenbauers shiurim and choose a daf.
-- Al Hadaf - is a 16 page English-language daf yomi journal sent out twice a month. It elaborates on one or two topics from each daf. Al Hadaf adds a degree of geshmak to the limud of daf yomi, and is a useful tool for chazarah. Used by thousands worldwide, each dvar Torah is self-contained with all the necessary background information, making it easily understandable and readable even for those with a weak gemarah background or someone who has not learned the daf. Each piece comes annotated with extensive Hebrew footnotes, making it appealing to talmidei chachamim and maggidei shiur as well. Al Hadaf is available for $40 a year for a regular mail subscription. -- Alon Shavua - Mareh Mekomos L’eyun – A weekly publication in Hebrew written by a team of Kollel yungeliet in Kiryat Sefer covers the important topics on each daf that need further pshat clarification. Culled from rishonim and achronim, this illuminating publication is available at no charge by e-mail at ma@mehadrin.net
-- ArtScroll Schottenstein English and Lashon Hakodesh Editions - Over the past16 years, these have become the standard by which others are measured. The clear explanation and thorough notes have been produced by teams of noted talmidei chachamim and have merited the haskamos of the Gedolei Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel and America. Both the Lashon Kodesh and English editions are now available in full- and convenient compact-sizes.
-- Bekitsur- A weekly publication in Hebrew that summarizes the important shakla v’tarya of each daf serves as a tremendous chazorah aid. It is available for a nominal charge by e-mail at bekitsur@zahav.net.il or call 011.972.3.618.7895.
-- Daf Digest – produced in English by the Ruben Shas Kollel of the Chicago Center for Torah and Chesed is a daily e-mail in PDF format available at no charge, by e-mail. Enjoyed by thousands, each day’s edition contains an Overview of the Daf, Halacha Highlights, Distinctive Insight, Review and Remember, and Stories Off the Daf. -- Daf Yomi Advancement Forum, of Kollel Iyun Hadaf of Yerusholayim, is a free Daf Yomi resource center. English study material, available in e-mail or printed form, includes: Daf-Insights, Daf-Background, Daf-Review Q&A, Daf-Outline, Daf-Quiz, Daf-Hebrew Charts, and in Hebrew, "Galei Masechta" and the acclaimed "Yosef Da'as." -- Meoros Hadaf HaYomi- is a weekly four-page pamphlet published by Kollel Sochotchov of Bnei Brak under the leadership of Rabbi Chaim Kowalsky. It is available in both in Hebrew and English editions and contains interesting tidbits revolving around the weekly daf. Available both by mail subscription and e-mail at meorot@meorot.co.il
-- Mesivta is a comprehensive digest of information with the format of the Oz Vehodor Shas plus an array of remarkable tools that will enhance every study session in a way you never thought possible. It includes Biur Hapshat, Aliba Dehilchasa, Pninei Halacha, Tamtzis Hadaf, and Kaftor Vaferach. -- Midrashiya Daf Hayomi of Petach Tikva
a) Hadaf Hayomi –
Hebrew is published daily to give maggidei shiur additional and interesting
material on the daf. As a rule, the daf is sent out the night before, to help
the maggidei shiur prepare.
The Midrashiya, headed by Rabbi Aron Schwab, is a training ground for yungeleit
who learn the Daf "biyun", and then give over 30 daf yomi shiurim daily
throughout the municipitality of Petach Tikva. The daf sent out is the summary
of the different chiddushim and heoros that the yungeleit will stress during the

b) English Daily Daf review is another unique and
innovative project of the Midrashiya Daf Hayomi of Petach Tikva that allows
anyone who is interested in gaining a basic knowledge of the daily daf to read
ten highlights of the gemarah with a commentary. This presentation is written in
a manner that does not require familiarity with the inner workings of the
gemorah. Each presentation also contains a short insight that offers an ethical
teaching based on the daily daf. Free email subscriptions are available at

-- Shas Lublin - Beginning with the current cycle of
Daf Yomi, Shas Lublin has been producing two volumes. "Vhagissa" which appears
twice a month contains an encyclopedic collection of explanations garnered from
hundreds of sources to help elucidate the daf . "Veshinantom" appears monthly
[30 blatt] which provides translation in clear and concise Hebrew with
presentations of leket heoras, halacha and chazarah. It is presented in a
