Subject: [TeaneckShuls] Birchas Ha'ilanos - Blessing on Blossoming Trees &
Locations (updated)
Reminder -
The following bracha is said in the Spring (preferably during the month of Nissan), on fruit trees in blossom. It should be recited on the flower blossoms but not on fruit that has already ripened. Some have a preference to recite it on two or more trees. See Shulchan Aruch O.C. 226, Mishna Brura and other commentaries.
BARUCH ATA HASHEM ELOKEINU MELECH HA'OLAM SHELO CHISAR B'O'LAMO DAVAR; U'VARA VO BRIYOS TOVOS V'ILANOS TOVIM LIHANOS BAHEM B'NEI ADAM.
